Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii
Ron Cassidy is a talented surfer and artist who has lived on Maui since 1985. In addition to his love for surfing, Ron also gets his kicks from painting pictures of his friends surfing, as well as seascapes, landscapes, and murals. Most of Ron's surf art was done for Maui surfers, and his past works include some of the islands hottest surfers such as: Eric Totah, Tai Van Dyke, Cade Clark, Chaz Akers, Jim Early and Greg Smith.
Ron has been surfing for 21 years and painting since the seventh grade. The first surf painting Ron completed was of the late Justin Roberson who was the most radical surfer to ever come out of Maui. Since that first painting, Ron has done works for some of Maui's underground crew of Honolua rippers, including: Mark Anderson, David Simon, Wayne Saunders, Greg Gardner (Brutus), Larry Cuam, John Ordean, Bogie Judin, Bobby Burritt and Adam Howe.
Ron can usually be found in the water doing what he loves best, but when he isn't surfing he is usually painting at the beachfront house located a short drive from Honolua. Ron's art is currently on display at; Erik's Seafood Grotto, Island Style Hair Design, Leilani's on the Beach, Cha Cha's Place and Hawaiian Photo Art all in Lahaina, Maui.

Featured artwork is available as prints on canvas or contact Ron for information on comissioned work.
